Pending asylum does not confer any status to an asylum applicant. You are only permitted to remain in the U.S. and may receive an EAD and a Social Security Number to engage in lawful employment.

You should check with the airline that you will be travelling with but usually domestic travel does not require a valid visa, only valid ID. Q: Does a person from Ghana qualify to apply for the immigration lottery? He is a Pastor and would like to move to the US.

The pastor from Ghana qualifies for the diversity lottery. They have to check the US government site to make sure the applications are still open.

Q: employer asking me to pay him money for my H1B visa transfer

Employer didnt find me a project for 5 months. He didnt pay me salary and is asking me to pay for the one month salary paid during the no work period, H1B transfer. He is threatening to collect it from my reference person incase I fail to pay.

Q: I filled I-485 based on K1 visa, I got it back rejected due to incorrect payment, but my visa expired. What should I do?

You do not say why your application for a B1/B2 visa was denied. Such reasons may not impact an application for an F1 visa.

You should put the information relative to the woman who is your legal mother. If your aunt legally adopted you in your home country, that’s who you should put.

If you naturalize before she turns 18, and she lives with you and you have custody of her, she should automatically acquire citizenship pursuant to the Child Citizenship Act of 2000. But to make sure, please consult with an attorney.
