You have the right to represent yourself, but unless you comply with the local court rules, rules of civil procedure, and relevant statutes, you will quickly find the experience to be a frustrating one. It might cost you more in the long run not to have hired a good attorney at the outset.

Q: Can a dealership sell a used car in Missouri with faulty airbags without disclosing it?

We just purchased a used car in Missouri from a dealership. Within a couple hours after turning the car on, the light that says airbag failure is on. Is this something that the dealership should have disclosed or that they should have known based on the inspection laws in Missouri?

The challenge you might face is proving that the dealership knew of the problem and made a misrepresentation to you. If you can prove this, you might have a decent claim under Missouri's consumer fraud statute, the Merchandising Practices Act. Contact a local attorney to discuss.

I'm not quite sure about your question. But if has to do with a class action, state action or a case in the federal multi-district litigation (MDL) you should be able to follow the status if you have the caption of the case.

If a company has lost a few similar claims it may... Read more »
