Q: How do I get verification, other than my PO, that TN state probation has ended?

My sentence end date was last week. My new PO is confused about my date , so I was waiting for him to let me know about court costs owed so that I can pay them. I'm prepared to pay in full, but he sent a message that my end date is 2026. That's incorrect, and TDOC FOIL changed in my end... View More

If you get charged and arrested, hire an attorney and present your exculpatory evidence at the Preliminary Hearing. Your evidence may not help as much as you think.

Any drug positive result will be used against you. Your lawyer can cross the DCS or LEO that is putting it in, but a positive result is bad.

No rights involved. Either you become a CI and possibly not go to jail but get killed. Or you possibly get arrested and need an attorney to keep you from being convicted. LEOs know that you talk to drug dealers on a regular basis. Might be time for a new phone.

Burglary is always a Felony. Violence has nothing to do with the crime conviction. Associated assaults, etc. would be separate crimes.

There is not a different code for each year. Find the chapters for the Statutes addressing most of the law you are looking for. Then read the end of each Statute for revisions. Start with the present TCA, then look for any changes made from 2002 forward. The older law will apply in 2001.

Those are State charges, not BF's. Hire a competent attorney as those are serious charges which will destroy your life. Prepare for a rigorous preliminary hearing, and possible trial. Do not plead guilty to DA except with diversion under any circumstances. BF and you need to keep quiet.
