Sessions Court can and will make amendments to the Citation for the State. Appear respectfully in Court and maybe it will go well. You might want to hire an attorney.

There is no set Bond amount. Every Judge/Magistrate sets different amounts. Put some money together, get a Bondsman ready, and turn yourself in. You might want to hire an attorney now.

General Sessions is not a Court of record, so amendments of the Citation are easy. Appear respectfully in Court and after informing the DA/Judge of the mistakes, see if there is some way that no points go on your MVR for the last year.

First of all I was not going 97 but the only proof I have is mine and my husband's word I had just left a rest stop and pulled out on the highway behind 2 diesel trucks going 67 mph I had finger on my cruise control button waiting to get up to 70 to push it

Hire an attorney to represent you. Apparently you do not know when Court is, and definitely need someone's help. A conviction would be several points on your MVR. Some type of diversion or a 4 mph over might be available.

General Sessions is not a Court of record, so amending the Citation is easy. You will need to appear in Court in a respectful fashion, and possibly hire a TN attorney. Sending in the Citation with money is a Conviction worth 4 points on a TN MVR, which will mailed to OR.

If the Judge allows you to attend Class instead of being convicted, then he will take it under advisement and order you to attend Class. It is a form of Judicial Diversion.

Go to Court in a respectful manner. Tactfully inform the DA or Judge of the actual facts. A conviction will add 4 to 5 points on your MVR. Ask if Diversion is possible or Dismissal with Costs.

You may be able to Expunge the NCIC record, but DOS handles the MVR and may not want to take it off the last year's points. You have been very lucky, and I would leave it at that.

If the same Court, then definitely hire an attorney as you do not want to answer to the Judge. If not, then one Court will not know about the other Citation. Holding the phone can even get... Q: I was involved in wreck. The agent told me the guy admitted he was at fault. The agent avoided my calls for over 3 weeks

I finally got ahold of someone from the insurance company after almost 3 weeks and they told me I was at fault just because I hit the other person first. The other person involved ran a stop sign and I was not able to stop in time. I was wondering if I have a case?

Call a competent attorney in your area today. There are many pertinent facts needed, and you do not understand what is going on. Even if a property damage tort only in your case, you can mess it up quickly. Citations in Court can destroy you also. Comparative Negligence may apply.
