This will need to get probated in probate court if it is in Connecticut. I recommend consulting with an experienced probate attorney as soon as possible.

what degree of robbery would this be? 1,2,3? Nobody was hurt at all and this happened in CT.

If you ignore these notices they will eventually get a judgment against you. After that, they will garnish your wages, lien your property, and/or execute on your bank accounts. If you have not done so, you may wish to consult with an attorney. Good luck.

Incest is defined in Connecticut code § 53a-19. It is a Class D Felony that can subject someone to imprisonment between 1 and 5 years and can be accompanied by a fine of up to $5,000.

Q: Is a Jazz trio of ind contractors, LLC in Vermont, required to register as a foreign LLC to play a series of gigs in CT?

The contract was made by an independent contractor on behalf of the LLC, and the order for services (playing the gig), required acceptance by the LLC out of state (as it's based in VT).

A little over 2 years ago my wife & I filed bankruptcy (chapter 7) following a foreclosure. After 2 years of credit rebuilding we are now thinking of buying a town home. We now live in Ct, the foreclosure was in Fl.

Q: I received a parking ticket in Bridgeport CT for parking too close to a crosswalk. other states say signage is key.

crosswalk that has not been painted (very faded) section behind my car is not there at all, and also no signage saying not to park there.

You can contest the ticket and take it to court. You may be able to persuade the state's attorney that you are correct.

You must absolutely fill out your application honestly. If you do not, you may be liable for fraud.

All she needs to do is provide insurance and registration they'll drop the case will she get caught in traffic court I'm afraid she'll go to jail

Do not defraud the court. This is a ridiculous question. I am trying to imagine a situation where an attorney will write in a public forum that it would be ok to defraud the court. Again, do not defraud the court.

You need to hire an attorney with experience in civil litigation and contract law to "light a fire under the contractor" with a demand letter and some phone calls. At worst, you will need the attorney to file a claim against the contractor as well. This is something my office handles... View More

not at police station, charged with 3rd degree criminal mischief in CT, the officer calls through a private number .

Thats a little strange. You should get criminal defense counsel ASAP. You should also call back the police station and speak directly with them about protocol. Make sure you are prepared with the officer's name

I can easily find the list of exempt property in a CT bankruptcy case, but I can't find anything regarding caps on monetary value. Are there any?
