Q: If my husband and I were robbed and assaulted then got police assistance . only for the police to arrest my husband

It was for a possession charge and new mexico has restriction in place for quarantine on people from out of state. Why would he go to jail for a charge that is nonviolent if there are restrictions? How can I get him out?

Grant St Julian III answered on Dec 26, 2020

I assume the criminal charges are filed in New Mexico; contact an attorney in the county where the case is pending, If your husband is in custody, at this point it doesn't matter why they arrested him. The question is what does it take to get him released. Good luck
