Because it’s arguable that she failed to maintain control over vehicle, failed to reduce speed to avoid an accident, drove too fast for conditions and other possible violations. The state has to prove those but the fact that it was a one vehicle accident does not constitute a defense

An Illinois attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for four weeks. Your insurance company would be able to meaningfully advise you on this, as insurance practices are governed by state law. Q: Why is an accident showing up on my driving record? I was issued a ticket, but it was thrown out in court.

A background check reveals the following information: *** ACCIDENT ***

CITATION ISS FOR TRAFFIC VIOLS OTHER THAN SECTIONS 11-501 OR 11-502 OF THE IVC

PERSONAL INJURY ACCIDENT

Can I somehow get this removed? Again, the citation was thrown out in court.

Not sure what type of background check you are referring to, but Petty Traffic Offense typically do not show up on background checks. This will require further review by an attorney. The sooner you contact an attorney, the better.

Q: I need your advice, Someone ALLOWS you to drive their car. You have an accident. They claim it on their insurance.

The insurance totals it out and cuts them a check for $6300 which goes to the bank leaving them owing $700. They then turn around and say you need to pay them $6000. Does this seem right? Not denying that something has to be paid, but it seems that they are trying to get paid twice. Advice me... View More

Assuming that you agree that you were at fault for the accident, you would be obligated to pay the owner of the car $700 as that is the limit of the expense they incurred.

Your fact pattern about do not show any reason for your license to be suspended. Your 9/12/20 accident does not violate your 9/23/20 Court Supervision because it happened before you were placed on Court Supervision. If you are not happy with your attorney, you should hire a new attorney. The sooner you hire another attorney, the better. Make sure to tell your potential new attorney, what issues you had with your last attorney so the same issues do not come up.

You need to restate your question in terms that we can understand. A "judgment" can ONLY be rendered by a Court. If you really mean a "Judgment" of $25,000.00, you have an attorney and should discuss this with him/her.

Insurance companies CANNOT Lien anything. They...
