You do not rent your child. Time and child support should be determined by the court, if he does not have a custody order as of yet, you should seek one immediately. Talk to a local attorney about seeking a paternity action.

You can modify back owed child support dating back to the date of filing of a modification. But if you did not seek a modification during a time when your husband was unemployed, there will little anyone can do to adjust that amount of back owed support. The support is supposed to go to the care of the child, if you are her legal guardian, then you are eligible to receive support on her behalf. Talk to a family attorney local to you about seeking a modification as a intervenor on the current child support order.

Under Missouri law, one of the ways child support can terminate is when a child becomes self-supporting, provided that the custodial parent has relinquished the child from parental control by express or implied consent. A lawyer could review your specific facts to help you figure this out.... View More

He can't add your children to his form 14, but he can submit an affidavit or expense statement detailing how much he spends on support of you and your family. The court will take it into consideration, however in my experience, the court does not look favorably on skipping out of supporting... View More

Only a legal father has an obligation to pay child support. Under the laws of Missouri, since the child was born prior to the marriage and you are not on the birth certificate (and I assume you have not been found to be the biological father of this child), you are not the presumed father or the... Your boyfriend is the only person who can correct this. He needs to speak with an attorney about how to reduce his child support or at the very least go to the self representation page of the Missouri Courts website to read about what he can do. Child support is ordered for the child, not the... View More

The sooner you file, the sooner you can get child support stopped. Contact a local attorney right away or at the very least file something soon by using the self represent paperwork on the Missouri Courts website.
My mother was drunk when she got pregnant with me. My mom had been sleeping with a few guys at the time. We have had a paternity test on all of them except one. This one happens to be my Aunt Heather's (my mom's sister) ex husband, and my cousins father. We look almost Identical

Unless you're emancipated by a court, only your mother or legal guardian can file a petition to determine paternity on your behalf. Ultimately, an attorney will probably not work with you directly because you're not old enough to hire an attorney on your own.
We have been to City Hall to obtained this marriage license and the signatures or social security numbers don't match my husband's. And there is a warrant out for his arrest regarding this child support order.

Child support is based on the income of the parties. Sometimes in even splits of custody, the person who earns more will pay the other child support. You should contact an attorney who practices family law for more specifics.

I have always paid. Our children are 16 and 14 years of age. Do I have to file a motion for adjustment or does it stop automatically.
If I have to pay, why? and where does my money go?
answered on Sep 14, 2017
The answer depends on where your kids are living. If they're living with relatives or in a foster placement, you may have to continue to pay child support and the monies will go to their caretakers or the state. If the kids are living with you, then you need to immediately file to terminate... View More
