A Missouri attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. You could contact the precinct/troop with your additional information - it may help to do so before the traffic safety officer writes the final report. Good luck

If I’m the legal owner of a house and the property it sits on ( warranty deed in my name, no liens) can someone else get a insurance policy in there name on my property?

It’s definitely an unusual situation. Typically, homeowners insurance is something the legal owner of the property would take out, since the purpose of the insurance is to protect the homeowner’s investment in the house and property. If you’re the legal owner, you should be the one holding... View More

A Missouri attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. Q: If my landlord has replacement insurance and the house catches fire are my belongings covered if they are in the house?

I also had a motorcycle in the yard that burnt up.as well as all my tools.

Without seeing the policy, one can only guess what it covers. My hunch is that the landlord’s policy won’t cover a tenant’s belongings but that merely a guess.

Q: I’m not at fault for a minor accident. My insurance paid me in less than 24 hrs. Now at fault insurance wants to pay too

Should I accept money from both insurance companies? My agent has already assured me that my premium will not go up since other insurance company accepted full liability

A Missouri attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. Your carrier acted very fast. In general nationwide, claimants do not usually get paid twice for the same claim - one insurance carrier or the other pays. It sounds like the two carriers are not aware of each... View More

in most states the taxes are part of the property damage settlement. If they are at fault and car is totaled, chances are it was a big hit and you were hurt. The other side isn't caring for you. Contact a member of the Mo. Assn for Justice for the county where it happened. They give free consults.

Make sure you go to court and tell the judge that you are still working on getting proof of insurance. Ask the judge for a continuance of the court date to give you more time to get proof of insurance. The judge will grant the continuance and you will most likely get a new court date that will give... Q: Is there any way to protect myself from subrogation if I didn't cause the accident and wasn't driving?

I'm being sued by Nationwide insurance; a company called NCS has contacted me, and I'm not sure what to do. My boyfriend hit another car, and totalled it out, while driving my car, without insurance on it. I wasn't driving, but I was there, and the vehicle was registered to me. I... View More

I. Don't agree it is your obligation. It may be but it may not be. 2) Help them locate your ex--if you get sued you need to sue him for "contribution," 3) find out what the claim is for. If it's for property damage only, and they give you a FULL release of ALL claims including... View More
