If it is in reference to a traffic ticket case an attorney is currently handling for you, then it likely means you have other tickets that you haven't taken care of that are still outstanding and need to be resolved. If you have an attorney currently helping you, this is really a question... View More
And reduce the penalties to my insurance? Or is it too late?
answered on Nov 14, 2020
Likely not - at least not yourself. What you should have done is hire the cheapest traffic attorney you could find to have handled the ticket correctly for you in the first place. Since that ship has sailed, you now likely understand why paying it off (if that is what you did) was a really bad... View More
Can I get it dismissed?
answered on Nov 4, 2020
If you missed your court date, it will no longer appear online on the AOC website whether your name is spelled correctly or not. Also several bad things either have or may happen: 1) you likely have an outstanding order for arrest 2) if it has been more than 20 days since you missed your court... View More
I got clocked doing 65 in what I thought was a 55 but was actually a 45. After the officer ran my license he just came back, handed it to me and told me to keep the speed down. Normally I would take that as a warning and be very thankful but with COVID I worry it may be by mail or some other means.... View More

Are you saying that you can not look at the ticket and tell whether it is a warning ticket or a ticket that you need to take action on? If so, I gotta say that is a bit concerning because both types of tickets are very clear as to what they are. If you'd like, you can text a copy of the... View More
I got a wet n wreckless in Ca 20 years ago. Will that show up on my back ground check?
answered on Oct 27, 2020
Traffic violations typically stay on your record forever. I am not sure what a 'wet n wreckless' is but if it was 20 years ago, no reasonable person would hold that against you now even if the job involves driving. Best of luck.
Life happens and I got too caught up in my work (Army). I’m 21 years old and a male. I have the money to pay for the ticket but I would like to reduce the amount my insurance goes up.

16 over the limit is technically a misdemeanor criminal al traffic citation but as far as those go - it is relatively speaking a minor ticket. Unless you wanna do a driving school at additional time and expense, your best bet is to just go request a continuance and then go hire a traffic... View More
and it says that I have a court date, but am I able to pay it off, and will I get insurance points
answered on Oct 15, 2020
You should contact a local traffic lawyer, as you can likely get this plead down to 9 over which will not affect your insurance as long as you have not had any moving violations in the past 3 years. Each county has its own procedures and may or may not plead this down.
I have two tickets with driving around without a license the first one was because I crashed in the second one I think they have my car marked already I’m no longer driving

It sounds an awful lot like you handled these tickets yourself without hiring an attorney. If so, that is likely the primary why you are suspended. You likely need to hire a traffic attorney who can go back into these old tickets and handle them properly in a way that will not suspend you. This... View More
will this ticket be dropped since the car info was wrong?
answered on Oct 9, 2020
Of course not. Administrative errors like that can simply be amended by the DA. Just hire a traffic attorney to handle everything for you.
I got a ticket for property damage when I hit a mailbox. The law told me to go fix it the next day I did. I didn't turn it in on my insurance because it wasn't that bad. When I went to court they need proof that it's fixed. I was wondering if you could tell me what kind of proof is... View More
answered on Sep 24, 2020
You can probably get a letter from the owners stating that you fixed the damage, that would likely be enough for the DA. You should also take some pictures of the new mailbox.
zone. I understand I have the options of either appearing in court, or hiring a lawyer, and I think that I need to hire a lawyer for this. Is there a chance that the lawyer could work something out so that I don't have to lose my license at all. I really can not afford to lose my license, as I... View More

From the Courts perspective, there is no such thing as a 'speed trap' - you were simply speeding and got caught. So if your license is that important to you - stop speeding. Yes, your best bet is to hire a traffic attorney and yes, they can likely handle this without you having to... View More

This is a subjective question. To normal average people - it not only looks incredibly bad and will likely ruin your life if convicted - it is in fact objectively bad as well. To other criminals or young people who don't know any better, it may look like you earned some badge of glory. You... View More

You are responsible for handling your ticket. So unless you never received the ticket - the FTA is likely your fault. The court and DMV both understand that sometimes things happen and court dates get missed. The court gives you essentially a 20 day grace period to resolve the ticket without... View More

If you have multiple tickets the best thing to do is hire a traffic attorney to take care of them. It is likely important that they be handled in a specific way because certain combinations of outcomes can suspend you.

Depends on whether you want to keep the new NC license or not. Also paying the ticket is just not a smart idea. Just hire a traffic ticket attorney to handle everything for you. If you address is correct on the ticket, you will get a crap ton of letters from traffic attorneys happy to help you.... View More

What will happen depends on what choices your boyfriend makes. If he continues to make incredibly bad choices such as driving 120/70 - bad things are likely to happen. So what he likely ought to choose is to consult with a traffic attorney ASAP. Typically at that speed, he will also be charged... View More

First, getting Improper Equipment is a reduction, not a dismissal, so it will be on your driving record. I suggest consulting with an experienced local traffic attorney in the county where you got the ticket to do review your other driving history with you, and advise you accordingly. If this... Just hire a traffic attorney in the area where you are to appear in court (this will be listed at the top of the ticket) - easy peasy lemon squeezy. Problem solved and hiring an attorney is way better than paying it off or appearing yourself and bumbling it because you do not know what you are... View More

This is a serious criminal traffic charge. If the stop arm was not extended and / or the red lights flashing - you should not have gotten a ticket. You should consult with a local traffic attorney to see what your options are. Best of luck.
This is my second court date due to me missing the first one

I suggest requesting another continuance if the DA's Office where you received this ticket will not dismiss this citation. Most DA Offices around the state are aware of the DMV delays/closures due to COVID.
