what he did was wrong based on the limited info you provided.

he has to give you 3 days notice to quit and then file an unlawful detainer with the court.

did you call the police and did they say it was civil?

i would think the fastest things would be to talk to the lawyer who represented him.

the matter would have to be put on calendar and then a motion to remove the stay away order.
