I had the green light at an intersection, but not an arrow. As soon as a group of cars clear the road, I saw an opportunity to turn left, but I did not fully pay attention to the intersection. A high school student was crossing the road and didn't see whether she had the crosswalk light or not... View More

I am uncertain if you are worried about the footage being used for a personal injury lawsuit by the pedestrian or as grounds for giving you a traffic ticket. To answer your questions directly, though, yes, they could turn over the footage. It seems unlikely that the driver would turn over the... View More

Ask the Lee County Clerk of Court if a PDF of such a letter will be sufficient. If so, have Minnesota email such a signed letter to you and show that to the Lee Clerk.
Im 33 years old and this is my first accident. I have had 1 speeding ticket about 10 years ago. I was on a 2 lane, passable road. I was behind a woman on her phone, obviously distracted and not knowing where she was going. She was going 10-15 miles an hour on a 30 mph road and kept stopping every... View More

I am filling out a "Notice of Related Cases" in relation to having my name legally changed. All I have on my record is a pair of civil traffic cases, but they are both closed cases. I verified they are closed through Duval County's CORE Website.
Do I still need to list those... View More

The Notice of Related Cases is for cases that are related. For example: if there is a child support case and a divorce case. Closed traffic cases are not related to a name change.

That's what you have an attorney for; ask your Georgia attorney.

You cannot get that "removed" from the record, though you could beat the ticket, which would create a record that you beat the ticket. REGARDLESS of what the record shows, or doesn't show, the other person can sue you for bodily injury and/or property damage, but to prevail, must... View More

You should retain an attorney to seek a bond on the probation matter, or release on recognizance, with the judge and prosecutor on the probation case.
(Florida highway patrol)
(POI) proof of insurance
Does that change anything, could the ticket be dropped?

I'd normally reply by suggesting you ask your question in Justia > Ask a Lawyer > Alabama, but no, it doesn't matter who's car it was; your boyfriend was speeding in it.

If your driver's license is suspended in Georgia (I assume OCGA 40-6-189 is a reference to a Georgia statute), you basically aren't allowed to drive in any state.
Searched and I received a ticket for possession of paraphernalia would this be illegal search and seizure since a driver received no tickets for the initial stop because without that stop I would have never been searched
answered on Oct 11, 2020
No, it was not an illegal search. The prosecution isn't required to prosecute the speeding violation.
I have outstanding court costs that have gone to collections from 2010 to 2017 I was wondering if there was any way that I can get my license back without having to pay the full amount do to me living on social security income

You may be able to work something out with the clerk's office to get a clearance on your license. That may all depend on the number of cases that are pending and the locations of the tickets issued. Or, you may wish to contact a lawyer.
Does anyone know whats considered a secondary traffic offence in FL. I think texting while driving is. Are there any others. I keep finding conflicting information.

In Florida, violations of mandatory seat belt laws are subject to "primary enforcement". To my knowledge, there is no "secondary enforcement" in Florida for any violation of the traffic laws. See... View More

I would be surprised if you can't call the Clerk of Court in Georgia and have them send the release; you shouldn't have to physically go there.
My wife a long time ago was living in Miami Florida and she did not know at the time about getting a drivers license there. So she had her German license when she was pulled over. So what is driving without a valid license considered? Is it considered a Misdemeanor?

Florida Statute 322.04 provides that:

You should have received notice that the license was being suspended. Talk to an attorney in North Carolina about looking into it.
