I have video of the accident and a witness to the scene. However, both insurance companies are claiming that it is my fault. I need to know if there is anything I can do to get my vehicle fixed.

What are claims/issues I could have coverage for under uninsured motorist that would motivate me to increase the limits of that coverage?

Value of your injures. In most states that is a very "cheap" insurance. Understand it covers you for when other driver has no insurance. In some areas that can be, at any given time, more than a third of drivers!
Other driver had no insurance.Accident occurred in the open break of solid double lines. Are drivers making left turns responsible to yield, period?

I was turning left out of a parking lot from about an odd 200ft from light. Moderate to heavy traffic at light. I got out of my car, told the other driver to call the police, and I went up to my condo and dropped off my groceries. I came back to the scene. As I was driving back down to scene, a police officer came looking for me, got behind me and pulled me over. He said I fled the scene. However, I told... View More

No as you did not intentionally leave the scene.Further you usually have to have injuries to be cited. However it's a serious charge, not a d.i.y. so I suggest you contact an attorney who handles traffic citaitons for the court that would hear the matter and in the meantime plead not guilty.

And if so what is my responsibility to my occupants?

answered on Oct 5, 2016
Niece needs to deal with the insurance she has/insurance on the car she was in. She needs to not give statments. As to her insurance they will want a statement but she has to make it clear she needs to talk to her lawyer first as she faces charges.
She needs to get an attorney who handles... View More

A car hit me making an improper pass

answered on Sep 2, 2016
You should talk to a lawyer who handles tickets, especially if you are the person in the last post. Generally, if you are the moving car and there is a wreck because of your changing lanes it's on you, but the lawyer may be able to get it to a non-point violation. When in doubt plead not... i asked for a continuance but was wondering if that charge was low enough to plead guilty to and not get affected by it in the future like a hit and run would.
answered on Sep 2, 2016
Seems that if you got the hit and run they can't now charge you for a second offense off of the first--it's called double jeopardy. But you really need to consult a lawyer.

I sent the attorney the amount that was due, and he wrote and said, "This will acknowledge your lien for rent on (tenants) settlement. you should be able to as you relied on that, to your detriment. Technically you need to get a "letter of protection" but the lawyer saying "I will insure" is an undertaking to you.
answered on Aug 12, 2016
You may be able to plead not guilty--read it carefully. You don't get to pay online because they haven't gotten to it yet, because it is what it is, because life is tough. If it's a points ticket, you may want to get an attorney involved to have it knocked down to a no point.

I take it you paid either the company or someone for insuance on a car that was under someone else's name "the policy holder". If you had an agreement with them, then they are responsible for covering it without your say so.
If not, it's on you. The law would say you... View More

You broke it you fix it. Why wouldn't you be obligated? He gave it to you to drive, not to run into the back of someone. You want his insurance involved. His rates will go up.Either you pay to fix it plus car rental for him, or your pay for the car.
