Q: I was in a car accident where the woman was driving with no headlights on and they found me 80% at fault. Can you Help?

I have video of the accident and a witness to the scene. However, both insurance companies are claiming that it is my fault. I need to know if there is anything I can do to get my vehicle fixed.

Get an in person consultation with a member of the Ga. Trial Lawyers Assn.They give free consults. If you were turning left and she was going straight, yes you could be found at fault.

Q: if you have good medical insurance, what sorts of damages could be paid under the uninsured coverage of my auto policy?

What are claims/issues I could have coverage for under uninsured motorist that would motivate me to increase the limits of that coverage?

Value of your injures. In most states that is a very "cheap" insurance. Understand it covers you for when other driver has no insurance. In some areas that can be, at any given time, more than a third of drivers!

Q: I was involved in an accident passing a Marta bus.I was hit by the other driver.The other driver was making a left turn.

Other driver had no insurance.Accident occurred in the open break of solid double lines.Are drivers making left turns responsible to yield, period?

Generally the car entering a major roadway from a driveway or minor street has the heaviest burden. If wreck happened in an area he shouldn't have been in you have a claim. No as you did not intentionally leave the scene.Further you usually have to have injuries to be cited. However it's a serious charge, not a d.i.y. so I suggest you contact an attorney who handles traffic citaitons for the court that would hear the matter and in the meantime plead not guilty.

Q: What is the Alabama motor vehicle liability or damage arising from injuries?

If I am insured in Georgia and traveling through Alabama, and involved in an accident, I am covered by Alabama or Georgia liabilities and responsibilities bodily injury upon motor accident law.

And if so what is my responsibility to my occupants?

Depends who is at fault. Alabama law governs liability--who is at fault and what they cover. Georgia law covers everyone's dealingwith their insurance company.

Niece needs to deal with the insurance she has/insurance on the car she was in. She needs to not give statments. As to her insurance they will want a statement but she has to make it clear she needs to talk to her lawyer first as she faces charges.

Q: I just received a letter today 10-01- 2016 telling me that I'm a witness in a case. And I have to be there 10-3-2016.

You should talk to a lawyer who handles tickets, especially if you are the person in the last post. Q: I got convicted of a hit and run, now they are charging me with violation of duty upon striking unattended vehicle

i asked for a continuance but was wondering if that charge was low enough to plead guilty to and not get affected by it in the future like a hit and run would.

Seems that if you got the hit and run they can't now charge you for a second offense off of the first--it's called double jeopardy. But you really need to consult a lawyer.

Q: If a car with a FL license plate gets into an accident in Georgia with a GA resident, yet the FL insured's liability

is only $10k (as per Florida's insurance statute), does the Florida's insurance then automatically comport to Georgia's, thus making the FL's liability to $25k?

Plead not guilty, talk to a lawyer who handles tickets in the court where you would have to show up. You may not need a lawyer for the hearing --i'm just thinking you are right, and if you wern't in a commercial vehicle what the heck.

you should be able to as you relied on that, to your detriment. Technically you need to get a "letter of protection" but the lawyer saying "I will insure" is an undertaking to you.

You may be able to plead not guilty--read it carefully. You don't get to pay online because they haven't gotten to it yet, because it is what it is, because life is tough. If it's a points ticket, you may want to get an attorney involved to have it knocked down to a no point.

I take it you paid either the company or someone for insuance on a car that was under someone else's name "the policy holder". If you had an agreement with them, then they are responsible for covering it without your say so.

You broke it you fix it. Why wouldn't you be obligated? He gave it to you to drive, not to run into the back of someone. You want his insurance involved. His rates will go up.Either you pay to fix it plus car rental for him, or your pay for the car.
