If the appeal time has not yet run, you should raise that issue on appeal. If the appeal time has passed, you can try to file another action based on the fraud perjury) the other party committed.

Unfortunately, the bars would likely sssert a complicity defense in the event that your son sued them on a dramshop theory for his injuries and would likely be successful.

Just as you don’t need to hire a contractor to build your house, you don’t need to hire an attorney to file a lawsuit . However, when your house crumbles or your lawsuit gets dismissed due operator errors, you have no one but yourself to blame. You retain professionals for a reason.

You may have the grounds to go forward with a criminal complaint through the local county attorney’s office as well as a civil action against the man in question. I suggest that you immediately contact an attorney in Iowa who handles civil litigation.

If the bank failed to take reasonable precautions to make its premises relatively safe, then you might have a claim worth pursuing. A significant issue is whether the robbery in question was reasonably foreseeable by the bank.

Legit case? Maybe, for whatever amount of the $200 he didn't earn. I don't see why he would have to pay you for new lawn service, though.

If you signed or co-signed as guarantor debt or have some legal obligation to pay them, there is no recourse. However, if you have been garnished for his bills and arenot liable for them, you can bring a wrongful garnishment suit against those creditors.

If you have good evidence of fraud, there's no reason to limit yourself to small claims court. You should instead pursue a claim in regular district court under Iowa's private consumer fraud act, Iowa Code Chapter 714H. I have information about that law on my website. Iowa Code Chapter... The facts are not clearly stated, which makes answering your question difficult. I have been a lawyer for thirty-six years and a father for longer than that. Here is my advice: 1. Yes, he has to pay. 2. Make him get a job and repay anything you have to pay on his behalf. 3. Ground him and take away... View More

There is no set time, although it is normally done within a week.
