Q: If my road is considered a State road, can the city write me a street sweeper parking ticket?

My road is maintained by the State of Ky (snow removal, paving, etc) and is considered a state road for whatever reason. I've been told by a local attorney that they can't write me street sweeper ticket for parking on it during sweeper hours. Is this true?

Q: hello, I was wondering if you could offer me some help in preparing for an upcoming trial.

I'm 20 years old and I was arrested for 26 mph over, reckless driving, failure to show insurance card, and failure to maintain insurance. I was in my mothers car and was not on their insurance. This is my first offense, first time I've ever had anything go against my driving record.... View More

Insurance follows the car, not the person. If there was insurance on the car when you were operating it, the no insurance charge should be dismissed. The failure to produce insurance card will not affect your license or your insurance. The only charge you need to focus on is 26 over bc it is a... View More

You need to hire a lawyer to redocket both asap and try and limit your exposure. You can be punished for being behind on support and the custodian can be punished for breaking the court order, but they are separate and distinct issues independent of each other.

Contact the investigating officer, explain your situation, and see if he will release it. He may since you are innocent and pictures of the damage will suffice as evidence. If he won’t release it, hire a lawyer to get it back for you. The judge can order it released to you.

In Kentucky they do not transfer for out of state tickets. You should consult and attorney in Ohio to see about getting the speeding ticket reduced for you.

Depends on which county you live in, but probably something along the lines of an amendment to a lesser charge, a fine and court costs, and a referral to state traffic school so you don’t lose any points on your license and so it doesn’t impact your insurance.

Daughter needs to see if she got a notice of cancellation. If not, may be able to claim coverage--would have to speak with a member of the Ky Assn for Justice that handles bad faith...

Plus, this is a police report, which is NOT an admissible piece of evidence. It is a report, after the fact, stating the hearsay "versions" of both sides. If you feel you are not at...
