Q: In New Jersey my cousin is 18 yrs old and is dating a 36 yr old without parents consent. Is this legal?

This guy lives in South Carolina and is bribing her to come live with him out there. My aunt does not agree. Can she some how stop her? Legally? Or can she sue the guy?

Yes if the case is in family court he definitely needs a lawyer and you will be required to get him one.

I am not sure but previously all checks go to probation. Ask your PO. Make sure you get a receipt or keep the canceled check.

Q: My upstairs neighbors son is putting music loud at an unreasonable hours. Home alone all times and does orgies everyday.

What can I do if at 11 pm or even 2 am he is still with the parties upstairs? Police won't do anything and the kid is a 17 year old minor home alone 20 hours out of the day? Btw, he doesn't listen to mom.or stepdad.

You have to be declared an Emancipated Minor by a Court, but the best way to handle this is too complex for this forum.

The age of consent is 16 for sexual relations, but he can still be charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and there may be other possible charges.

You are not capable of being emancipated in NJ. If you could, at barely 16, there is no possible way that you know what you are getting into. Unless you are a "trust fund baby"(which I seriously doubt), you cannot handle the financial responsibilities that you would have. Try to work... View More

This is probably because a juvenile detention facility is not considered jail its a detention facility. We don't jail minors.

Minimum amount of time is always none if he wins the case, general amount of time is 3 to 5 years if he has no priors, but a lot more information is needed to give you a real estimate which a lawyer would need you to bring to his office.

Unfortunately for you, you will not be able to get emancipated. DYFS no longer exists. They have been replaced by Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP). All though it may be hard for you, try to look at things from your parents point of view. Good luck.
