The company is located in Florida; I am located in Texas. I sent in a deposit and 2 days later, I called to cancel. The company confirmed they would return my money but to date, I haven't seen a penny after 30 business days. Can criminal charges be brought on the individual/owner for theft.

It sounds like this is a simple contract issue. Do you have record as to the effective cancellation? You only waited for 2 days. Even if your deposit is huge and it would hard to establish criminal intent in light of the facts you provided here. My colleagues are right. You should exhaust your... View More

If you don't have anything in writing that he waived his requirement, you will have to repair the wall. You can repair yourself or hire someone cheaper though.

Generally speaking, when there is a contract, it is not cancellable unless both sides agree or other compelling reasons, mostly for the other party's fault--misrepresentation, mistake, anticipatory breach.... Pricing is not one of the reasons you can justify your request for restitution.

I was told it was illegal to record a conversation between me and a member of HR. The head of HR made me leave my phone outside.
answered on Dec 17, 2019
Why would it be? Since you are having the conversation with HR, nobody's privacy is inflicted by the recording and later publishing, if it occurs. HR may have a policy for not having phone around during conversation. Policy is policy. Violation of policy is different from violation of criminal law.

You can learn all about trademark on US patent and trademark office's website. Or you can hire an attorney to do it for you to avoid mistakes because it takes 6 months to hear from the government. A mistake is very costly in time sense.

The loan is different issue from the title. It doesn't matter who pays or who signs, the names on the title are the evidence of the title.
