Did you purchase the house before or after marriage? If after, you do not "own the house 100%." It is a marital asset. If you purchased it prior to marriage, then she will likely still be entitled to any appreciation of the value of the house since the marriage. Either way, you do not own... View More
I signed a lease on an apartment in Miami Dade . Lease starting date 3/13/2020. When doing the walk thru I found out there was not hot running water. The realtor I was doing the walk thru with said I could not move in without hot water in the apapartment, she would have it fixed and the starting... View More

What does the lease say? Does it stipulate that move in date will be after the hot water issue is fixed? Get a copy of your lease and take it to a landlord/tenant attorney to review.
Yes I had a disagreement with my ex back in 2001 and got behind the judge put 50 bucks on arrears and since she turned 19 in 2010 I been paying that arrears and havent missed a payment

I am confused. Are you saying that your total child support lien was $50.00 starting in 2001? How have you not paid that off in nearly 19 years?
If you only owe a minimal amount I presume that once the lien is satisfied, any left over will be sent to you from the stimulus check. If you... View More
When I joined the gym they told me it was a month to month thing and not a year long contract. In fact I was told that this specifically was not a contract. I was not shown a contract nor did I receive a copy of anything. In January I stopped attending the gym and didn't update my payment... View More

Do you have a copy of the contract that you signed? If not, get a copy and go from there.

Has she actually filed a petition for divorce yet? You really need to hire a family law attorney asap to assist you through the process. Florida is a no-fault divorce state so as far as getting a divorce judgment, it is not relevant.
My tenants are high wealth individuals, paying close to $12,000 per month in rent. They owned a few very high value cars, each priced above $200,000. In the past, in our direct conversation they stated that they are millionaires. A few weeks ago they mailed us a letter stating that they're not... View More

With that amount of money at stake, you really should have a real estate attorney on retainer. It will save you a ton of money in the long run. Get a copy of the lease and bring it to an attorney for review and advice on what to do moving forward.
satisfied. Well they had to redo shoddy work after I complained, started work and disappeared for 3 weeks, tracked dirt into home(no shoe covers are mentioned in contract), left scrap lying around and several other things such as me missing work without pay for appt. they never kept. If they refuse... View More

Be prepared to spend possibly more than that amount to pursue the case and get a judgment against the company. Do they have assets? If not, the judgment will be worthless. You would be better off hiring an attorney to represent you if you decide to file a small claims lawsuit.
I made a partial payment and was told to have the rest on april 9 i vae the money when i called to pay it i got no answer and theres a letter on my door stating ill be charged a late fee now
answered on Apr 6, 2020
So, based on your facts you did not in fact get the money to them by the date they gave you to pay it? Calling and them not answering is simply not sufficient effort to get them the money. Unfortunately, you should have moved mountains to try and make sure they received payment by that date.... View More
My mother was on hospice and passed away 1/28/20. The hospice physician indicated the wrong cause of death on the death certificate. I made them aware of the error and it has not been correctly amended to date. Meanwhile, I am waiting for an accurate certified copy to send to the insurance company... View More

If the cause of death they improperly placed on the death certificate causes a delay or denial of the insurance benefits, then I would say yes. If not, then I do not see a viable cause of action.
I wouldn’t have gone if they hadn’t told me they accepted my insurance. Now I have a bill for $568. If they didn’t accept my insurance, why do I have records of my ‘co-pays’ of $40 and $20 (standard for my insurance)? Not only that, but I had to seek treatment elsewhere because they... View More

First, get the explanation of benefits from your health insurance. Did the provider even send their bills to the health insurance at all? It sounds like they may be trying to "balance bill" you, which is illegal.

See if you can come to a mutual agreement on how it is to be handled. Is there a court order regarding custody?
He raised our rent after all this started and then said we have to pay it or he can kick us out! How is that legal?! How are we suppose to pay if we can’t even work?
answered on Apr 2, 2020
Do you have a lease? Is it monthly, yearly? Need more information to answer properly. If for example, you are on month 6 of a year lease, then the answer would be no, he cannot arbitrarily raise the rent. But, my guess is that is not the scenario.
The policy states it could be a corrective action UP TO termination. It’s a lot of grey area. I believe my boss who dislikes me terminated me as retaliation instead of issuing the corrective action.
answered on Apr 2, 2020
Retaliation for what, exactly? Also, you appear to have answered your own question. You stated that the termination policy "COULD" allow for corrective action. If it stated "WILL" or "SHALL" allow for corrective action, then you might have a better argument.... View More
