a car accident lawyer, referred to as a Personal Injury Attorney.
call one local, though.
if there is an injury, and you were not at fault, most of us would accept the case on a contingency fee. That means the lawyer will only take a percentage of what he/she gets.

Misdemeanor
if loaded: PC 12025 and 12031
a lawyer would need to know the circumstances to tell you what might happen.
the sentence could be different in different courtrooms; different DA and different courthouses.
of course if you had a record or prior it would be more serious.

first, call the police.
Why not let them do the work rather than it being on your dime?
you can call local injury lawyers, but I suspect they would be reluctant to take the case as there is no guarantee of someone that could pay... if there is a judgment.

It would appear this "conflict of interest" is something your lawyer should deal with.
I assume s/he would talk to the presiding judge.
Maybe even a "leaked" story to the local paper?
answered on Apr 1, 2024
yes..........
if you are talking about the accident described rather than future coverage,
1. no CDL
2. not insured driver
3. improper use
4. DUI
5. intentional acts etc
of course the ins co may cancel or only sell insurance if the at fault driver is not allowed to use the car.
