She will not return them and police aren't helping. How do I get them back
answered on Apr 14, 2023
YOU NEED TO IMMEDIATELY SEND A DEMAND LETTER SETTING FORTH ALL THE FACTS.
SEND IT RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED SO THEY CAN'T ARGUE THEY NEVER REC'D IT.
I WOULD THEN ATTACH THAT TO A SUMMONS AND COMPLAINT IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT.

if you are sure you are not injured, then you can contact the ins for the other side.
they may balk since the car was driven by an unlicensed driver.
your easiest avenue would be to present a claim again your own policy...to the extent you have coverage. Then your ins co will... View More

you can always sue anyone for anything.
the questions are will you win? can you find a lawyer that will take the case on a contingency rather than an hourly? can you articulate damages? what does your contract with them say.
before you sue, exhaust your legal remedies.

besides your husband, the person who knows the most about the case...AND THE LAW, is your attorney on the case.
those of us receiving and responding to this don't have all the facts.
make an appt with that lawyer to discuss your question.
answered on Apr 12, 2023
the correct answer is "it depends"............on the FACTS.
if the owner allowed a dangerous condition, s/he may be liable.
the best thing is to make an appt with a LOCAL lawyer to share ALL the facts.
I was walking on 103rd (La county) and fell into a 1 foot deep pothole on the sidewalk, thus tripping and breaking my 3 front teeth. You may have a case, and you should make an appointment with a local PI lawyer asap....if you do have a case, you may have a time constraint as a governmental claim must be filed within 6 months, if the area in which you fell belonged to a city/county etc.

things are going to be controlled by the agreement/contract you signed.

Make an appointment with a LOCAL family law attorney.
I handle PI/DUI in the Palm Springs area.
Type up a summary of the facts to make it easier for the attorney to understand the facts.
good luck
Every live scan location is asking for an OPI and every police CHP or sheriffs office i contacted doesn’t have that information

You should contact the lawyer who handled the case to, if necessary, put the matter back on calendar. Then explain the issues so that your lawyer can work out an alternative sentence...if that is what has to be done.
a person A threatens to kill a person B. The person B runs away while being followed by the person A. The person B trips over, falls down on the ground, receives injuries, and dies when being followed by person A. Will the person A be found guilty of person's B death?
answered on Apr 9, 2023
the correct answer is it depends...on all the facts.
Was A arrested by the police?
Did the DA file or reject the case?
it is up to the DA to file and try the case or plead it out.
depending on the facts, it is possible A could be guilty of B's death.

a local lawyer might be in the best position to address this query.
if the bailiff runs your record and spots a BW you could be arrested.
if you are going to hire a lawyer, why not ask him/her to put the BW matter on the calendar and remove it.... because of the 9 years you may have... View More
The driver of our bus stated that older buses are exempted from the law. That is older buses do not need to be retrofitted with seat belts
answered on Apr 9, 2023
Buses made after a certain date (1971) are grandfathered so they don't need seat belts.
Buses manufactured after 1971 must have belts.
Arguably the senior center could be liable for not insisting the buses used are newer and have belts.
