He said yes to a settlement but after they offered they then deemed my car totaled how can he accept a settlement on MY car without my consent?

In order to clear up the confusion, and best protect your rights as a victim, you (and your SO) should contact an accident or injury lawyer in your area to discuss the specifics of your case.
I wasnt tailgating Or even speeding when i ran into the back end of another vehical, and the video shows this .

You might be able to do so, however, the fact of the collision does not help your defense. My recommendation is to contact a traffic ticket/criminal defense lawyer in your area, and when you meet with them, bring the video and discuss your options at that time.
I was confused but they cited me and now my public defender tells me if I tell the truth its going to make me look bad. Im stuck with these fines & repair to the house.

A Colorado attorney could advise best, but your post remains open for a month. At this point, you could reach out to an attorney who handles motor vehicle accidents to look into exactly what happened here in terms of coverage. You mention a public defender, which indicates a criminal action... View More

You need to talk to a competent attorney about asset protection and exemption rights in whatever State you are going to live in. The exact Deed Grantee will be critical, and you need that lawyer to tell you what to do. Sometimes trusts are useful, but probably not here. The lawyer's... View More
I tied to qualify for public defender however, my pay would not allow it. I had my first appearance on the 29th. All the judge did was ask if I had an attorney, and since I did not he rescheduled my date to March. Why did it get rescheduled? Is he implying that I should get a lawyer?

You absolutely need a lawyer. DUIs, let alone those involving injury/accident, are very complicated. Call an attorney like myself for a free consultation at least.
As for your court dates, yes the Court is implying you need lawyer. Typically, if you don't have a lawyer when in Court... View More

A Colorado attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for almost a week and you need to take action immediately, as time is of the essence in two respects. You could repost under Traffic Tickets, because an attorney who handles those could advise you on your options with traffic... View More
I was reversing out of a parking stall and was almost entirely out of the stall when a car, perviously out of sight, and I collided. It was ruled I was at fault as he had right of way

A Colorado attorney could answer best, but your question remains open for two weeks. As a GENERAL matter in virtually all jurisdictions nationwide, vehicles proceeding in the main roadway have right of way over vehicles attempting to enter the normal flow of traffic. Good luck

If I have to involve a lawyer, can the company be held responsible for fees?
answered on Nov 15, 2020
A Colorado attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. Recovery for attorney fees could depend on jurisdictional rules and the type of insurance involved. As a GENERAL matter throughout the nation, if the denied claim involves bodily injury, attorney fees are typically... View More

A Colorado attorney could advise best, but your post remains open for a month. If it was done close to the time of moving, it could have been an oversight. At any rate, correcting it could help avoid future headaches. Good luck

I was rear ended as a passenger at a traffic light. I now have major back problems. There were 3 others in the vehicle but it appears I was injured the worse. The accident happened in Colorado but I reside in Las Vegas. Since I was not going to the doctor on a regular basis, my attorney wants me to... View More

You should get a ere consultation with another Colorado lawyer and hopefully that can help put you at ease.
My son is 18 and rolled his car after he fell asleep at the wheel. No impairment. His friend, a minor, was in the passenger seat and received very minor injuries. He was transported to the hospital (protocol for a minor) and released within hours.
My son initially pled not-guilty, and now... View More

My car was hit in Brighton CO by a truck from a trucking company in Milfor NE. Their Insurance will not pay for damages even though the driver was found guilty in a Brighton court. So do I file in Adams county or in Seward County?
answered on Apr 23, 2020
First, if you were hurt contact a member of the Colorado Assn for Justice for the county where it happened--they give free consults.
Technically, you can file either where it happened or where they do business. I'd go for the county where it happened.
Can a officer issue a ticket on private property?
answered on Feb 12, 2020
Depends on the state. If you didn't hit her rear end see if there is a security cam image of the event. Do this ASAP as they will usually get rid of all images after a certain period.
I was really badly hurt, but officer gave me ticket I slid in ice and went to court, but was not in right state of mind when going to courts

It sounds like you were sued and served with papers? You really need to get your insurance involved. If you received suit papers and you don't have insurance you need to make sure you don't get a default by filing an Answer and entering your appearance "pro se." Check with the... View More

First if you have collision you can run it through that and let them go after the city.
What you have to do is send the city a Tort Claims Act notice. Depending on your situations--property damage only, injuries, liability may be made against you but they are at fault--different things... View More

Get the payoff figure. From your example, if the value is 15, the loan company gets paid, releases the title, then you get paid is the normal sequence. If you were hurt in the wreck, contact a member of the Colo. Assn for Justice--they give free consults.
