A Rhode Island attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a week. If you're being sued, that generally involves receiving legal papers such as a summons and complaint. If you're the subject of a collection action, that could involve being notified by phone. You'd... View More

Not sure by what you mean: "caught in the law in Indonesia" or who you may be referring to as "the team." Generally speaking, only counsel licensed in each state, country, or jurisdiction may practice law in that state, territory, or country, unless granted special admission by the particular court.

This collection agency has been doing this to me over and over. I'm on disability and can't afford this and I can't handle the stress.

Usually you cannot be sued on a credit card debt that is older than ten years. Also, recipients of Social Security Disability are usually not subject to collection. If all you have is disability benefits, then the collection agency or law firm cannot take your money. If you explain that you are on... View More

Hi Richard,
Sorry to hear an ex-employee robbed you. Did you check your insurance policy of you are covered for employee dishonesty? Some policies have automatic coverage like $5K-$15K.How were the monies taken, by ACH/wire/check?
The insurance adjuster came out and wrote the damages. I just received a check, minus a $1000. deductible. How do I go about, legally, getting reimbursed for my $1000. deductible from my neighbor?
The property has always been in my name only & predates the marriage. My ex never lived there; her name was never on any of the paperwork. The divorce final judgment was 10/31/95. Our agreement clearly indicated the property was mine & she has no claim to it.

I've had the bike for 11 years and finally went to the DMV to see if I still had a lean on it... I did not have a lien and was issued a duplicate title.. can I sell it?
answered on Jul 15, 2017
If there is no lien against the title you would be able to sell the bike in my state, Tennessee. If Rhode Island is a title state also you should be OK with selling the bike. Hope it works out. Good luck!
Is that legal?

If you are working as an agent for an attorney, you are an extension of that attorney. As long as it is a claim being pressed by the attorney you should be OK. Have you considered asking the attorney you are working for?
