Can the buyer insist on renegotiating the sale price when the discrepancy is discovered upon inspection while preparing for closing? Is this considered deceptive advertising?

Depends. If it is only known to the buyer, that would imply the seller does not know about the error, which might be difficult to prove fraud. Get estimates for repair of the three items he complained of and refund only that part. Beyond that, you don’t need to do anything else and you do not have to accept the return or refund the rest of the money.

Technically, there is probably some liability there but it very likely wouldn’t be worth the time, money or hassle to pursue it. If you can get reimbursed what you’ve lost ( or most of it), you’ll still be ahead of the game.

If the loan was consummated prior to the repo, it may have been a wrongful repo. If the loan transaction had not been completed, it is most likely not a wrongful repo.

Suppose I have an employment contract that says I have to give 30 days notice before resigning. Could my employer really force me to work against my will for 30 days? Could I be sued for not fulfilling the 30 day notice requirement?
answered on Sep 16, 2022
Theoretically, yes, although that is generally not how it happens. Once you give notice, they will generally ask you to leave shortly after that. The notice period rarely ever comes into play.
