Q: If a construction company designs a state funded project, can that company also bid on the construction of that job?

Can a provatd contractor, who has been paid to design a state-funded project, submit a bid to build that same project when the it goes to bid? It seems like this may be a conflict of interest.

Q: Can a trailer be sold over half the marketing value ?

The trailer is valued at $11,000 and it is being sold for $20,000. $4,000 has done been paid towards the $20,000 but just now discovering the property only values at $11,000 can I get the price reduced is this even legal?

It is legal and you don’t have to buy the trailer at all.

Q: I need help getting $10,000 back from a contractor who is not showing up and is ghosting me.

The fence guy did 4 days of work over the last 2 months. Has not responded to calls or texts the last week. Has his house, tractor, truck and other items now listed for sale. His tractor is sitting on my property. What are my options to get my money back?

Q: Am I bound to a 30 day leave notice in my employment contract?

Suppose I have an employment contract that says I have to give 30 days notice before resigning. Could my employer really force me to work against my will for 30 days? Could I be sued for not fulfilling the 30 day notice requirement?

Theoretically, yes, although that is generally not how it happens. Once you give notice, they will generally ask you to leave shortly after that. The notice period rarely ever comes into play.

If the contract is properly prepared, it should be enforceable both ways without a problem.

Q: Can a seller back out of a sales contract for the sale of a home?

We signed the contract a week ago. I am the seller and want to back out. The home is set to close in a couple of weeks.

Yes, but you may be liable for returning the deposit if any. Your sales contract should spell out the penalties for canceling the sale.

Office to have it transferred they told me that the previous owner filed for a lost/duplicate title and that the title I have is not good. Is that perjury on the previous owner because he filed for a lost title after selling the boat?

Perjury is false sworn testimony. This is fraud and you have been defrauded by the seller.

They cannot sell without your signature. However, if you refuse to cooperate, they can bring a partition action against you to force a sale, and that will be very expensive, and the court fees and costs will come off the top or might even possibly be charged to you.

Move in and take possession. You may have to sue the seller to get the balance you are owed.
