Q: If you drive a car because someone is too drunk to drive and the police stop you. Is everything in the car yours.

The police stopped my son and the car was the passengers car. The guy in the back set they let go but they found a pill and lean in the car which belonged to the passengers uncle. A gun was found and the police put the drugs and drink charges on the driver

Q: Should he even been arrested over word of mouth? And how long can they hold you till you get a trial?

Hi my dad went to jail on 04/01/2020. Well it now Mar 31 2022 and they still haven't went to a trail or bond reduction

You do not mention what the charge is and whether or not he has an attorney. If he does not have one, then I think your father needs to hire an attorney. If he does have an attorney, then please speak to him about your concerns with the lack of progress in this matter. Good luck.

Q: My vehicle was stolen from me after being sold to me from the owner after 8 hours.then was used in a incident

With the police department in Louisiana. I just found out 3 months after what tow company has it and they said it's there's now because I didn't file for it being stolen but i just found our where it was.can they do this

This is a little confusing as unless there was an agreement to pay court costs in exchange for the dismissal, I do not think a criminal defendant would have to pay court costs. More information/clarification may be needed.

I suggest hiring an attorney if you're contacted by police. Don't make any statements to them or anyone else if you are. Also, if she's not able to possess the guns, I doubt she's going to call the police and report it. That would put her in direct violation of law. In the... View More

Criminal law: A crime to knowingly transmit AIDS

Civil law: Liable for knowingly transmitting SDT. Have to prove prior diagnosis, no other source of transmission, and damages.

No one can tell you what will happen. I've seen situations where a co-defendant takes responsibility for stolen items.
