You do not mention what the charge is and whether or not he has an attorney. If he does not have one, then I think your father needs to hire an attorney. If he does have an attorney, then please speak to him about your concerns with the lack of progress in this matter. Good luck.

Call the police immediately and provide any identifying information.
Charges were dismissed does he have to pay court costs

This is a little confusing as unless there was an agreement to pay court costs in exchange for the dismissal, I do not think a criminal defendant would have to pay court costs. More information/clarification may be needed.

I suggest hiring an attorney if you're contacted by police. Don't make any statements to them or anyone else if you are. Also, if she's not able to possess the guns, I doubt she's going to call the police and report it. That would put her in direct violation of law. In the... View More

it's pressure from the prosecutor to settle the case early. Yes, it's legal. But not fair. Unfortunately your son needed to speak with an attorney who could review all of the facts available and help mount a good defense. Simply pleading NOT GUILTY and telling the DA you'd consider... View More

You can pursue a personal injury claim for your injuries as well as still pursue both criminal charges and obtain a domestic violence restraining order against your husband. You should speak with an attorney to help you as soon as possible, both to preserve your rights and to get the protection... View More

No one can tell you what will happen. I've seen situations where a co-defendant takes responsibility for stolen items. However that won't necessarily stop a prosecutor from continuing to move forward with a case if the evidence supports a potential conviction. I suggest speaking with your... View More
