You can not force a parent to visit. You can file for child support and then that person is responsible whether he visits or not. The Attorney General assists with establishing child support orders. Connect with them.

Q: I’m being sued for back child support. I reconciled with my ex and we were common law spouses. We lived together.

So we had the same address and I always carried my daughter on my insurance. She never asked for support until I stopped paying a loan for her. I gave her support every month through my bank. I live in Texas.

It will depend on when the children were moved and when the actual filing was made. Consult a Colorado attorney if case is pending there to respond. No, child support is calculated primarily on the parent’s income and does not include his or her spouse’s income.

Sounds like you may already have enough grounds/violations. Seek an attorney to pursue your issues. There is no set amount on violations of court order.

In general if no court involvement you are free to do as you please. However, if a divorce is filed your spouse may request that the child’s residence be restricted to your current residence.

If you are referring to the physical card then the child support office should be able to send her a debit card. Hope this is what you were asking about.

Yes. One usually is able to file for child support even if they haven’t filed for divorce. Custody/visitation can also be handled in the same matter.

Sounds like you need a good attorney to take him back to court and have him help in contempt and maybe get him to agree to modify some of the terms to allow you to relocate in exchange for not asking the court to throw him in jail, or suspend his driver's license if meet the requirements for that.
