Dealer is blaming the DMV for no tags...it's getting an obvious lie. Dealer puts me off his tag title company and him leave me stranded with expired tags and have excuses "it's Covid" and "it's a gov van".

Seller must, by law, deliver "marketable title." Failure to do so is actionable. Contact the DMV Investigations unit and open an inquiry. Also, seek out a consumer protection attorney for more input.
We are unable to go this year. The place where we bought them from are refusing a refund saying that we can resell the tickets obviously they recommend a reduced rate that they will probably gain from. Where do we stand legally? Hope I can obtain free advice please.

You can't sue for negligence if you cannot prove damages. The only damage I see is the price of the room. You should have protested when you got to the room.

Also, to sue for damages you have to show you actually suffered something--not could have.
