Yes, if law enforcement has probable case to believe the target is staying there. For instance a boy friend who regularly stays at his girl friend's home.

Does that mean I have to go to jail or prison?

Do you have an attorney representing you? If so, then you need to ask her these questions and your options? That said, if what you write is accurate, then you do not go to jail unless during your probation of 3 years you are revoked which case you then have to sere your jail time. But... View More

It means that you would be sentenced to 2 years prison with LA Department of Corrections, at hard labor. That prison sentence would be suspended (put on hold) and not served. Q: If the police officer let me go, after taking a picture of my license, can I expect charges later? Or even jail time?

If you are correct about the amount it is a misdemeanor. you will receive a summons. You can hire a criminal attorney to handle this for you. If you do not have a prior criminal record, you will not get jail time.
