Unless there are rent control laws in your municipality, once the lease ends, the Landlord may change the terms of the lease. Your options is either to agree to the rent requested, attempt to negotiate a more reasonable rent, or move out.

Everything depends on the facts of your case such as were you put in a room and questioned for 16 hours probably yes. Were you put in a room for 2 hours and signed a Miranda Form probably not, but everything is up to the judge.
I filed a police report and the way it was written, to me, it reads like I did something wrong. This is so with the knowledge that there was video footage that they the Police refuse to secure. I live in Rutherford.

My ex-lawyer advised me to plead guilty to get into drug court (Zanex) because he said, "everyone gets into drug court once"!
So under his advisement, I pleaded guilty.
Also lack of urgency by my lawyer to obtain video tape of police assault and lack of obtaining Police video/audio CAM.
