Q: I'm on court supervision right now and got another ticket. will I lose my license, or is there a way I can save it?

I'm 21 years old, I'm on court supervision for running a stop sign. The new ticket is for speeding.

You are currently not at risk of losing your license, but a bigger concern is receiving a conviction on this new stop sign ticket and having your insurance cost increase. You should hire an attorney to increase your odds of receiving Court Supervision a second time.

Civil matters do not carry an jail time but if he reports this matter to the police, you are looking at a Misdemeanor offense at the very least. Also, you should never admit to an offense online. If possible, you should figure out a way to remove this post.

Q: I exited an expressway, the road veered to the left and saw a red light. Do I stop or keep going?

The truck behind me blew the horn to encourage me to continue thru the red light so I did. Didn't want to get hit from behind by an 18 wheeler.

Did you receive a ticket? If not, you have nothing to worry about at this time. It is not clear from your statement what the intersection looked like, so it is not possible to answer if you should have stopped or not.

Q: Can I both get court supervision and get my fine reduced?

I've never gotten a ticket before and I'm not sure how it works. It seems that there aren't clear answers, either. I was caught by radar allegedly going 92MPH in a 55 zone, though I NEVER saw the speedometer read that high. The ticket says I don't have to appear in court despite... View More

92 in a 55 is 37 over the posted speed limit which is a Class A Misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and up to $2,500.00 in fines not including mandatory assessments. This is a must appear in court ticket since it is a criminal offense and not a normal speeding ticket. If you receive a... View More

Yes, you will likely be called into to testify. If your husband does not show up for the OP hearing, it is likely he will receive a two year OP against him. Your husband needs an attorney to assist him with this matter. The sooner he hires an attorney, the better.

Technically, the answer to your question is no. Once the police are called, it is out of your hands. It is now up to the prosecutor on the case.
