Q: Ex lives in ny i live in florida i have to cover insurance on my son and i even if i live here in florida

Insurance there is 280 a month down here its double when he has medicaid

If a custody order that restricts travel can very well be used to prevent this type of travelling out of states. Unless a mutual understanding and consent have been made between the parties.

Q: If my ex and son live in ny and i live in florida could my case be transferred and would i still have to follow ny laws.

You have to follow the NYS law since the case was initiated in New York State. Even if you go to NJ or travel to another state after Florida, you will be bounded by the laws of the state where the children reside and the case was initiated and decided in. Please contact an attorney. Most likely the statement implies that the marriage was dissolved or annulled as per that date. Therefore, you are no longer married.

If they don't want to go, you should inform the other parent and let him try to talk to his daughter, maybe she will change her mind. Otherwise, the other parent might think you are doing it intentionally.

Well if you are low income, most likely you can ask the court for a fee waiver. And your court website might offer some free self-help and uncontested divorce documents which you can utilize. Otherwise, you should consider hiring an affordable lawyer or seek a pro bono attorney.

There was a paternity acknowledgment form that we were given at the hospital, but with the hassles of life we put it off and now I'm told it's too late to use that form.
