Q: I was hit by a drunk driver but I did not have insurance, do I have any rights to sue the guy that hit me?

I have the police report and he was found to be at fault. He has no insurance and no license and was on probation for two prior dui convictions.

Yes, you can sue him but if he and you did not have insurance then you will just be wasting your time. There will not be any recovery. You should talk to the D.A., maybe he can get him off the road. Just as an afterthought, were you living with a relative or by yourself? Best of luck.

But was it him? Did you recognize him? Did you recognize his voice? The DA has an uphill battle and without a corroborating witness , you do not have a case.

Your landlord is a jerk and may be acting illegally. You have a right to have visitors in your apartment. If you rent a room in his house, that may be different. If he interferes with your BF visiting you, notify him that he is not staying overnight. See what he says about that, If he says he... View More

Any major changes to the structure are the landlord’s responsibility. Your rights and obligations are determined by your lease. If landlord insists on you paying for the upgrade, then request a reduction in rent or have him talk to an attorney to discuss this matter. Best of luck.
