Landlord claims we’re on a year lease but still hasn’t given us any paperwork to sign or in regards to terms of rental. He has all his personal belongings stored in the garage of our rental property. He also has 4 dogs on the property in a gated area. Is this legal?

In that case, you can give him notice that if he does not take his things out of the garage, you will move 30 days from your date of Notice. Write your note on the end of the month and send it to... That is the only lock on the front door - the doorknob does not have a lock. The only other doors are sliding glass doors that open to walled-in patios. In case of an emergency, tenant must locate the key to unlock the front door.
