Q: Vehicle was deemed a total loss, but I want to buy back the vehicle. I still owe on the loan.

The total settlement number they gave me would be more than I owe, but the salvage price to keep the vehicle would make the new amount less. I understand that would leave me with the remaining loan balance. Adjuster told me that they won’t release any funds until the loan is paid in full. I was... View More

A Kentucky attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a week. You'll probably need to go through the figures with them in more detail than is possible here. But the basic principle is that keeping the vehicle will reduce the payment. If a vehicle is old and low value, it... View More

Q: A sober living house has been filing claims for people that are no longer there.

I want to know how legal it is. Also the entity receiving the claims has changed it's name multiple times and I want to know how legal that is as well. I already submitted it to the state with my evidence.

A Kentucky attorney could advise best, as insurance practices are governed by state law. But your question remains open for two weeks and the answer is essentially universal everywhere. Yes, they have the right to demand return of the overpayment. Good luck

Generally as to the other vehicle, the policy covering the car is primary, driver of daughters car secondary.

Daughter needs to see if she got a notice of cancellation. If not, may be able to claim coverage--would have to speak with a member of the Ky Assn for Justice that handles bad faith...

Q: Dragging a overdose victim outside. Then calling 911 & leaving that person alone. Is it a crime?

Is this criminal neglect & failure to render aid

Probably not, unless you were responsible for the overdose. The more prudent action , of course, would have to call 911 and wait with the person. But, if you were just being a Good Samaritan, you should be fine.
