And drove into the car behind me, & the car behind that. She wasn’t injured, nobody was, even though her car ended up on its side. I only have liability insurance. Her insurance put me off for six months, then decided not to pay me out for my totaled car, & the money I’m out on towing,... View More

YES, CONSULT WITH A LOCAL PI ATTORNEY ASAP.

I DON'T KNOW YOUR INJURIES. HOWEVER, I FEEL THAT IF YOUR ATTORNEY MAKES A POLICY LIMITS DEMAND (I ASSUME $15K) THAT THE INS CO WILL BE MORE CAUTIOUS ABOUT JERKING YOU AROUND.

BE SURE WHAT YOU ARE PRECLUDED FROM DOING B/C OF YOUR PROBATION.

IF THAT IS PART OF PROBATION, THEN CONSIDER HAVING YOUR LAWYER GO BACK TO COURT FOR A MOTION TO RECONSIDER THAT TERM.

The question is not clear:

you ID'd phony docs that were presented in court? Was this your case or another?

and you said they were legit, knowing they were not? if so contact a local criminal lawyer to get better advice for that courthouse/judge as you could have criminal exposure.

THE LAWYER YOU RETAINED OR THAT WAS APPOINTED BY THE COURT IS THE BEST PERSON TO ADDRESS THIS TYPE OF QUESTION.

DID YOUR LAWYER EXPLAIN TO THE COURT THAT YOUR FAILURE TO APPEAR WAS DUE TO HIS/HER NEGLIGENCE?

IF NOT, I THINK YOU MIGHT HAVE TO ASK THE JUDGE TO SPEAK AT THE NEXT HEARING.

CALIFORNIA COURT IMPOSE 3 YEARS OF SUMMARY PROBATION ON MOST MISDEMEANORS.

IT SHOULD END AFTER THAT AND BOTH DMV AND THE COURT WILL SUSPEND THE LICENSE.

YOU WANT YOU LAWYER TO REQUEST THE COURT CONSIDER THE DMV SUSPENSION ALREADY IMPOSED..........WE USUALLY GET THAT.
