I'm sorry. I don't understand your question, assuming there is a question here. Mortgage loans are almost always amortized since that's what happens to an interest-bearing loan. If Preen is charged with something by someone and you are somehow affected, maybe you should talk to that... View More

You may have grounds to take legal action if the online shop misrepresented the product or failed to disclose that it was for parts or not functional. When a seller doesn’t provide clear terms, you can still rely on consumer protection laws that require honest descriptions of goods. Misleading or... View More

If you were not tested for a DUI, you won't be charged with it. As for fraud, if you were not inebriated by the beer you had earlier in the day, you had no duty to disclose it.

A Washington DC attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a month. If your issue hasn't been resolved yet, your first and least expensive option could be to reach out to the Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia. Q: Am I responsible to pay off the credit cards of my deceased mother if I am a authorized user on her cards?

I was not a co-borrower, just authorized user.

I am very sorry for your loss. It would be wise to consult an attorney and tell them more details, but you are probably not required to pay off the credit cards just because you were an authorized user. The credit card companies should collect any money owed from your mother's estate if it has... View More

In DC, you're able to withhold rent for housing code violations and wastewater coming into your unit seems to qualify. The landlord may take you to court and you'd have to explain the housing code violation, but this is a viable remedy for you.

Q: What type of offense is it?

My Building manager threatened me in the receptionist's presence, "You don't pay rent. I will get you kicked out. I will call the cops on you." He was not aware that I had cleared my dues except for $1000.

As far as calling the cops it's probably a misdemeanor. Otherwise "I will get you kicked out" is ....bad management. You can complain to the owners but they may not care.
