One would need to see the file to understand fully how your medicals were billed. If it turned out that there are Medicaid/Medicare elements to the billing of your medical services, those liens could take time to reconcile. It's possible your attorney could need to comply with the directions... View More

You have three choices you either 1) contact their insurane company and see if they will pay. 2) file a lawsuit yourself or 2) hire a lawyer to try to recover your property damage. The problem is a good lawyer may cost more than the damage is worth. Please remember you must do this quickly as... View More

Based on your description, it appears that the car crash you were involved in did not result in any charges or fines against you. Since there were no legal consequences or penalties stemming from the incident, it is unlikely that you need to report it on your N400 application for US citizenship.... View More

Carriers do that - they may have a contract with the company that handles their IMEs and peer reviews. Sometimes if the medical review company is a large one, examining doctors may be scheduled randomly, but they don't go to any great lengths to make sure the same doctor doesn't get lined... Your insurance company is required to keep you informed and provide to you information.

Unfortunately, even though you do not want to be bothered, this is something that can happen. You should be able to obtain from the insurance company the claim made by the allegedly injured person....

As a GENERAL matter, when it comes to releasing funds, a common cause of delays could involve negotiation and settlement of liens with medical providers or other entities. But that's... View More

If a valid bill was not paid from the settlement, you are still responsible to pay it. But your attorney may be responsible for some or all of it if the attorney should have negotiated or otherwise handled the lien. Ask the attorney to negotiate the lien.

Q: warning for offense 39:4-32 pedestrian crossing roadway signals

if you receive a warning in new jersey for failing to stop for a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk will that increase your auto insurance rates. Not a ticket but a warning. I have a camera in my car and the video shows nothing except a cop waving to turn left. Can I contest this ?

A ticket filed in the municipal court is required before direct and collateral consequences become an issue. If a police officer gives only a warning, then the court, motor vehicle commission, and insurance company should not find out about the encounter.
