It will depend on the language of the release you signed when receiving partial payment. If not prevented by the terms of the release, you may sue the customer.

After I went to court and other parties didn't attend 3x I was told by public defender to pay fines which I did. Now 3 years later I have to attend court for the additional 2 .tickets that were not in system. Can the town do this?
answered on Nov 26, 2022
They may or may not be able to do this, an attorney would need to ask you and the court a lot of question starting with ,one like were the tickets issued and served on you, the reason why they were not in the system, were the tickets sent to another court thus a double jeopardy problem. That... View More
if you receive a warning in new jersey for failing to stop for a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk will that increase your auto insurance rates. Not a ticket but a warning. I have a camera in my car and the video shows nothing except a cop waving to turn left. Can I contest this ?

A ticket filed in the municipal court is required before direct and collateral consequences become an issue. If a police officer gives only a warning, then the court, motor vehicle commission, and insurance company should not find out about the encounter.
The police came back the next night accusing me of making false report because apparently my ex boyfriend was driving the car and had gotten into an accident. I allow him to use my car when he needs it but in this particular day I did not know that he had the car as I thought he was out of state.... View More

This sounds important. But it is difficult to answer this question online because more information is necessary. If it is as important to you as it sounds, then you will want to contact a private attorney to discuss this in more detail.

You can't still receive a ticket as you would be past the statute of limitations, but it sounds like you may already have had one. I would hire an attorney to research this and see if any tickets arose out of the situation to make sure you don't have a warrant for your arrest for not... View More

Whether you are entitled is only half of the battle. Your statute of limitations is running out quickly. Normally it is 2 years but becuase you were a minor, it was suspended. You need to contact counsel asap.
That was behind me didn't realize I was turning and drove into the median and hit me on my turn is he responsible or we both are because maybe I shouldn't have turned there?

Unfortunately, it appears, the law would consider you at fault for the accident as from your description it appears you were making a left turn into on coming traffic and therefore you must yield to oncoming traffic. But an attorney would need to see the accident report before making this decision.
The county (employer) disciplined the employee. It’s not his first accident. The county denied intent to legally represent and/or indemnify.
answered on Jun 14, 2022
I believe the employee, if accident occurred while in his employment, would be entitled to coverage from the county. I recommend filing a title 59 notice if you are the Plaintiff. The time for this to be done is short, so speak with counsel.

This is actually an interesting issue. What was the intentional act? Police can say you intended to operate the vehicle in a sleepy state, unless you are a narcoleptic.
