If you have evidence that the animal care company is in possession of your dog, the first step is to contact them and request that they return your dog to you. If they refuse or fail to do so, you may need to take legal action.

You can file a lawsuit against the animal care company in small...

It is not illegal to feed feral or stray cats in Oakdale, California. However, it is important to note that feral and stray cats are not considered pets and are not protected by animal cruelty laws. Therefore, it is important to ensure that the cats are not causing a nuisance or a health hazard to... View More

I live in a gated house with more houses in the back of the house.

You are responsible for your dogs. You cannot bar co-tenants from use of common property because your dogs are dangerous. You have an obligation to make your dogs not dangerous, or to remove them from the property. California is a strict liability state for dog bites. Get training and/or get... View More

It is unclear what you are trying to do here. I bought the kitten for $750, from a person, claiming they were worked with a Cattery. I traveled to the location for the transaction, not at the Cattery. They gave me the wrong gender. If the pet is a service animal, they cannot discriminate and prohibit you from having the service animal. However, they can likely prohibit animals that are not service animals.

A landlord cannot charge you extra pet fees for a service animal. In addition, a landlord can only charge two months' worth of rent for a deposit, unless the house is furnished. Therefore, the charging of $9,000 or $8,000 would likely be illegal.
