Police reports about "crime" are protected by many laws. Typically, you need to be the victim or the accused. They may also be subpoenaed for civil cases.

They are not required to give you the warrant or show it to you. They get DNA for sex and violence cases in general. Take to a local attorney asap to discuss this issue in private.

Q: My son got a vc12500 a and has no permit or license. I want to start the process of getting him licensed. Will he get a

Misdemeanor automatically since he didn’t have a permit to drive even? He was driving a small 2 seat dune buggy if it makes a difference.

With respect, I disagree. Have your son get his license ASAP. The 12500 will very likely be reduced to an infraction (just a fine, no record) if he gets his license. If necessary, you can even go to court and have your son ask for one delay to have more time to get it done.

Good luck.

Typically the court will not appoint a free writ attorney. Ask the Stockton public defender if they can help. If not, there are prison rights groups that may help.

Law enforcement can only get a wire tap for 30 days at a time by court order. It often leads to an arrest. If you have not been arrested, or notified that you were tapped and that the investigation is finished, then you are probably not being tapped.

If they didn't give you a ticket, then it is very likely that you don't have a case. You can check the courts online periodically to verify for up to one year.
