today, that they refuse to be part of a settlement where I would self-administer the set aside. They said they would put a lien on the settlement and I could deal directly with opposing counsel. Is this for real?

If you hired an attorney and they were working on things for you then you have an agreement with them. In which you most likely signed something saying they get paid and if not they file a lien. So it is probably for real. You need to contact them to discuss things directly.

Regardless of good cause or not, you can still be sued. That doesn’t mean the other person will win but you still have to defend it. As far as Oklahoma is concerned we are an at-will state meaning you can terminate an employee at will, so long as it does not fall under the discrimination... View More

answered on Aug 19, 2021
Unless there is a court order stating otherwise then it is still his son and he has rights. As far as the second part of your question in terminating his rights - there are two ways to terminate a parents rights and both require the role to be filled by another. 1) is a step parent adoption, or 2)... Yes. Business owners have that right. Likewise you have the right to find employment elsewhere.
Some companies are even mandating their employees get vaccinated and that has already been upheld to be generally legal.

My mom and dad own my mobile home here in Oklahoma City. My dad passed away about five years ago and my mom wants to know what we need to do to put in my name.

It depends on how things are set up. If it is for the land that the trailer is located that could be a simple quit claim deed. If there is a lender involved then you will have to deal with them directly.

answered on Aug 13, 2021
You will want to consult with an attorney in person with all the details. However, he can either sell you his portion or he can file an action for it to be sold if you cannot buy him out. However, generally he cannot simply sell it without you consent since you are also on the deed. However, you do... View More
