Based on rights, you have a right to stay as long as contracted, and Landlord is has the right to do business with whomever he pleases. If he accepts payment for a new month, he must let you stay for that new month. Some landlords will change their plans if you give them an extra month's rent... View More

Q: My nephew is paralyzed from a stroke - no assets or insurance. Can an attorney expedite SSD and Medicare benefits?

He is 50 with a 15 year old. Has not been employed for a couple of years. Brook wood is trying to move him as soon as they can find a facility that will take him without insurance, may even be out of state. He is not getting the physical therapy he needs.

The short answer is yes. An attorney can gather the medical evidence and send it all in at the start. I have seen this happen with a paralyzed client in the past. If you have clear evidence, it can go very quickly. Mine took less than a month. I am not taking clients, but I am sure you can find a... View More

Call the police. Tell them you want to peacefully enter the home and collect your belongings. They can meet you at the house at a specific time. It should probably be a time when someone is at home. While moving your stuff out, tell the police that your mom has your SS card and that you want it.... View More

Q: How to get my boyfriend off the title if I’m the only one on the mortgage loan

Title is legal ownership of a piece of real estate. Unless he was placed on title in error, or through fraud, your boyfriend currently owns a portion of the real estate. The only way to remove him in that case would be to get his signature on a deed releasing his interest to you, or if he refuses,... View More

There is no limit to the number of homes you can rent and buy at the same time. One important thing to remember is that many home loan agreements require you to personally live in the home you get the loan on for a specific period of time. Some as much as a year or more.

Q: My wife upset my property manager, who is now trying to order us to paint our house claiming it's non compliant.

Other complaints against us since my wife upset him have been universal throughout the park, Bikes near but not in garage, etc. We lived here for 2 years largely left alone, I believe this is antagonistic retaliation.

I am sorry to hear that things aren't going well with your landlord. Your relationship is legally defined by state law and the contract. There are 2 forms of SSI. One is based on your past work. The other is based solely on need. THe need based will be affected by money you have, no matter the source. The one based on past work does not care how much money you have.

At death, back pay is owed to the deceased person's estate. The estate will get distributed by will or Trust, if he had them. If he doesn't have them state law will determine what happens to his estate.

OR, a judge might decide that the email had no specific meaning as you had no...

The method of evicting someone differs depending on the relationship. Another issue is notice. Timing of notice is tied to the relationship as well.... View More

If you want to sue someone on your own, you can go to your local justice court. This is called a "Small Claims" court. The court will have a maximum amount of damages you can sue for.
