A Florida attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a week. The question isn't fully clear from your post, but it looks like you are trying to locate the lawyers who sued an entity that could be relevant to your interests, and that you want your records from them??? Q: Can an warranty company refuse to pay repairs although repairs are covered under warranty?

Bought a box truck from Ryder. They don't want to cover repairs for the truck because of "contaminated fuel". Although they covered repairs multiple times before and no where in the contract does it state no coverage for contaminated fuel.

The issue is whether the warranty is voided due to your wrongdoing (either intentional or negligent), if any, that caused the damage/issue triggering the need the repair. One issue is the contract language itself, and another issue is the fact issue of whether you actually committed the act or... View More

Q: Need to know if this is legal in Florida on used car sales?

I am about to fly to Florida from Texas to purchase a vehicle. I noticed on the contract that the dealer was charging 995 for a pre delivery fee and 495 for security edging.

This is a matter of contract negotiations between the parties; there is likely no issue of "does the law allow it?" Dealers insert into their proposed purchase contracts some bullcrap fees and charges with various labels, with the actual purpose of increasing their profit margin. These... View More

Q: Do I have a case?

I purchased a used truck about 1.5 years ago from a dealer. When asked about prior damage if any the dealer told me there was only minor. The car fax report only shows minor as well. Regardless of liability or lack thereof, your first step is to get a written repair estimate, then demand that the dealer pay it, and if they balk, say you're planning to take legal action. That may or may not work, but there's no downside to doing it. That said, whether the dealer is... View More

Your son needs to schedule a consultation with an attorney for review of the purchase contract and the history of the situation. What his consumer rights are depends on a number of factors, especially the terms of the purchase contract and warranty, if any. Regarding the $$ he still owes, if that... View More

Yes, of course he can leave the state if he wants to. Presumably you are not asking if he can take the child; he can't without court permission. This will have to be resolved, hopefully between the two of you in the shared custody plan, or, if not, by the judge.

Your inquiry is far too vague. Don't know if you are trying to say you have a potential discrimination claim and wondering how you obtain compensation if you win, or you already pursued and prevailed on a claim, received a judgment in your favor, and are having trouble collecting on the judgment.

Q: Hello! In 2015 I financed a car and within the past month, I'd had tons of trouble with the car.

It is a 2015 Toyota Corolla and have taken it to the Toyota dealership about 3 times already and they told me it was a manufacturer problem and they won't do anything about it. A friend told me about the 'lemon law' and I wanted to know if it applies to my situation.

lemon law applies to new vehicles only purchased off the dealer lot.

If you bought the car in 2015 and the trouble just started, its unlikely that you can proceed under lemon law. Its also unclear what the problem is and why they wont fix it.

You might want to speak with a...

Q: I have just recently purchased a vehicle from a local buy here pay here lot and I think Im getting screwed.

Did you actually sign the contract knowing this? You will want to carefully review your paperwork to see what, if any GUARANTEES were made in writing.

Florida's Lemon Law pertains to new vehicles only.
