I am the one that got badly injured and car completely totaled.

An Illinois attorney could best advise, but your question remains open for two weeks. The description here is somewhat brief, but the fact that your citation against you was dismissed is something in your favor. If the citation was for something administrative, it might not be significant. If the... View More
I was more than 1/2 through the intersection on my motorized bike. I was thrown 15 plus feet by a suburban. My ankle was shattered and my bike was ruined. As well as stolen. Loss of ability to work. Inability to put any weight on my leg for 12 weeks. The intersection itself was completely unmarked... View More

This is a complicated issue. If you don’t have an attorney, you should retain one as soon as possible. You can feel free to contact me if you’re not represented.

An Illinois attorney could answer best, but your question remains open for two weeks. This does not look like a personal injury matter. There's no guarantee that all posts are picked up, but you could try reposting and adding Child Support and Family Law (and any other related categories) -... View More
My child was in a cart and she did not have permission to touch my child. As many people as she sees all day and touching all the carts everyone touches I feel she put my child at risk for infection of covid-19 aren't there social distancing laws in place?!

Maybe, but what would your damages be? Also, what affirmative defense might the greeter have? You are only providing half of the facts. Did your child grab an item that wasn't paid for? Was your child in danger and about to fall? It's not clear why the greeter touched your child.
We ate more than half the food in the bag. When I pulled out another burger to eat I noticed that there was a full blown glove wrapped with the burger.

I understand how gross this must make you feel.
Can you sue? You can sue anyone for anything, but that doesn't mean you can win. I imagine you'll have a hard time finding a lawyer to bring a claim for this unless you can prove you were injured. Injury might be a long term... View More

If you are experiencing pain then you need to seek medical attention right away. An injured person should not allow the Co-vid 19 pandemic to result in untreated pain, or even worse, allowing a severe injury to become permanent or cause death out of fear of going to the doctor. The emergency rooms... View More

If you have a pending appeal, please do NOT lose time waiting for a response here. This is only a Q & A Board, not an attorney referral service. Start looking for attorneys on your own without further delay. An attorney will need time to review your file and determine if you have grounds for a... View More

Sometimes.
From the attorney, no, never. It is illegal for an attorney to advance money to a client as a loan against a case. However, there are licensed legal lending companies in Illinois that can do this. They evaluate the situation on a case-by-case basis. When they do issue a loan,... View More
