A North Carolina attorney must advise here, but you await a response for two weeks and it looks like your hearing is around the corner. A starting point could be to look into whether you qualify for a public defender (state-appointed defense attorney, based on financial need), or to see if your... View More
Collision, and I looked it up and this is considered a criminal offense and I don’t know what this means for me or what I should do for my situation. I was not speeding and did attempt to stop, I was not on my phone and my insurance app shows that and I was not intoxicated. I attempted to brake... View More

I was driving in my neighborhood and as I was passing a construction area, a worker walked into my car and bumbed into driver side door. He was working between a truck and a construction machine and was not visible to me. Now his attorney has filed a claim that I caused bodily harm. After the... View More

A North Carolina attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for four weeks. An attorney is likely going to want to see more details about the policy. A North Carolina attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for three weeks. As a general matter, it could depend on the terms of the arrangement between the hospital and the insurance company. But more information is necessary about the contract. Good luck
I am 26 living in NC and I don't have a single traffic ticket or violation so far and clean on my criminal records. Today I got a speeding citation(GS 20-141(J1)) on highway for driving 20mph over the limit of 65mph and was given court date. I am worried if this will impact my career since as... View More

Most counties reduce speeding tickets to give people an incentive to go ahead and take care of them. Technically, speeding at a high enough speed is treated as a criminal charge and, if convicted, would show up on a background check. Getting it reduced would address this and is usually how traffic... View More

Best suggestion is to hire an attorney. An attorney will help navigate that process, and either contact the restaurant with a settlement demand or a legal complaint filed as a civil lawsuit based upon justifiable damages that you sustained as a result of the fall. Our firm would be more than happy... View More
How can I get my car fixed?
answered on Oct 1, 2020
I strongly suspect that the shop has a duty to secure your car while it is on their property and that their insurance would cover these damages. Even if they do not have insurance you can almost certainly succeed in suing them for the cost of repairs, contact a local attorney.

Generally yes, until there is a divorce decree or other court order addressing the issue.
I paid the premium as always they accepted and kept the payment and weeks later they told me the policy was in lapsed status. In order to get it reinstated I would have to pay 400.00. At the time I could not come up with that amount of money so they (Axa Financial) lapsed the policy.

You could consult with a North Carolina attorney to review the policy and its terms and conditions for cancellation. However, it's possible that seeking coverage elsewhere could be more cost-effective and practical in terms of time and resources needed to look into the coverage lapse. Good... View More

Your insurance covers the fire pretty much regardless of cause (i.e. won't cover it if caused by war, nuclear plant meltdown and other exceptions). Talk to your agent and don't get into who did what unless asked, Keep it simple. Car caught fire. Why I don't know. That's it.
I have renter's insurance bundled with my auto insurance policy. I informed the property company of this and they requested that I add them to the policy as a condition to removing the fee
So a couple of months ago when I was in a different state I had missed a payment on my auto insurance and it lapsed for a few weeks (I wasn't driving it at this time), and I quickly paid it when I returned. When you allowed the lapse to happen, DMV decided to slap your hand as a reminder not to do that by charging you a fee.
When you forgot to pay the DMV fee, DMV decided to spank you a bit harder and suspended your tag. Because the fee and subsequent suspension were due to a lapse in... View More
