I'm very sorry for the loss of your mother. This is something that a California attorney could advise best on, but you await a response for four weeks. At this point, you could reach out to attorneys who handle such cases - if a law firm felt that that your family could have the basis for a... View More

Yes. It begins with expert opinions that the "standard of care" was violated, and that that violation legally "caused" the death.

That seems like an unreasonably long time. Whether it's "too long" for purposes of filing a lawsuit depends on why it took that long. Find out.

I am sorry for your family's loss. You haven't asked a question but I assume you are interested in inquiring about whether the doctor/hospital had a role in his passing. That will require an autopsy, and a review of all of his hospital records as well as medical records from any health... View More

It's unclear what happened. You don't ask any questions about whether the person who supplied your son with drugs and alcohol might be responsible. You don't ask any questions about whether he has claims against others for the cuts on his body. Whether the hospital might be liable... View More

Possibly. Although, if there were concerns about your father's health, there was nothing stopping his friend from also calling 911. He didn't have to stop at calling the hotel front desk. As a result, there is likely a huge causation issue. Nevertheless, a consultation with a wrongful... View More
