Since you looked at the video, that tells me that you have an attorney. Since you have an attorney, you really should be discussing all of this with that attorney. If you are not pleased with your attorney, you are welcome to hire a different attorney.

You should file your witness list on a timely basis and under the witness' name put 'Investigation Continues'. When you get the address then amend your witness list. If you do not want to disclose an address for a witness, file a motion and request the court that the address not be... View More

Q: Are plaintiffs required to notify defendants about the motions they file?

I, the defendant, never received any notice from the plaintiff regarding a motion to dismiss my answer that they filed. They have also more recently filed several motions for discovery, none of which I have had any notice of. I only found out by looking up the case in the online records.

Generally yes. You don't say if your case is in Federal court or State court. You also don't say if you are represented by an attorney, but since you are seeking answers online, I presume that you are not represented by one.

If you look at the motions that were filed (that you...

Q: Can our company hire an attorney on staff and use her to go after other companies in civil court?

We have worked with a few companies that have clearly broken contracts with us. The damages are not worth an expensive attorney or law firm. We want to hire an attorney to work with us on salary to go after these companies. Is it legal for us to do this?

Unfortunately, no. The law does not provide for any way to enforce unkept promises unless there was an agreement and unless both sides received consideration. I suggest you try to compromise and at least pay the photographer something--because the photos are hers.

You're lucky that the police are settling things with your parents and not taking this matter to juvenile court.

You don't want to have to deal with a juvenile court judge.

Whether you look at your bank statements or not is irrelevant. If your employer actually paid your husband $27,000 more than he was entitled, he will either have to give it back or will probably be sued by the employer.

Assuming you didn't already make a claim for the property damage with your own insurer, you are not prohibited from filing your own case for the damages. First, make sure your carrier is not already pursuing this claim.
