Q: Is it illegal for a person to tell me that I'm hiring his boss for services, but never met the boss?

Sounds like you've been scammed, as well as extorted. You should have promptly sought advice when you did not get receipts, but seek help now - schedule a consultation with an attorney. You likely have a potential civil claim for money damages (though you might have a collectibility... View More

Sounds like you do have a valid potential claim for breach of contract, and even if not (for example, if the contract was not properly written), you may have a valid potential claim regarding the work you put in. Consult an attorney in your area who handles real estate litigation or general... View More

Q: Is there a way to access car accident claims andopen lawsuit file against you and any claims made on your behalf online?

Is there a way to access car accident claims made on your behalf or made against you online including work related Car accident cases? Any open claims under your name open lawsuits that you have under your name. Lawsuit was filed under my old last name and I don’t know if everything changed over.

Lawsuit records, for both open and closed cases, are available online on the Clerk of Court website for each county. Claims that never made it as far as a suit are not.

Your inquiry is too vague. I suggest you start over with a new inquiry with specifics - notice from whom, to whom? (without mentioning names) - to accomplish what?

Q: Are there any attorneys that would take case against a company regarding a recalled product that killed my bulldog?

So sorry to hear about your loss. Unfortunately, the measure of damages for the loss of your pet, as provided by law, would likely be only the fair market value of a bulldog of your dog's age at the time of his/her death and any vet bills associated with the incident. So the money that you... View More

Q: I need a statute in Florida against a lawyer for breach of contract, I can't find a single one.

answered on Feb 19, 2023

There is no statute specifically on bringing a claim against a lawyer for breach of contract. Breach of contract, in general, is a "common law" cause of action - that is, based on traditional legal principles formulated by the Courts and enunciated in published appellate court decisions.... Are you saying the accident happened in Puerto Rico? If so, you must consult an attorney who is in P.R. or who is licensed to practice law in P.R. You are liable if you in fact caused the damage. Your inquiry is vague as to whether you caused the damage, or if it was instead caused by forces beyond your control, or whether you agree or dispute that it occurred while in your possession. Q: Is it legal to list a fictitious address on car insurance?

Separated from husband, he just had to get new car insurance due to his accidents. He has listed a friends address as to where my vehicle is being kept., Is that legal or should I call the insurance company?

That is a matter of the terms of agreement with the insurance company, and those terms are contained in the written policy. If the address listed for the vehicle is not the correct address, that most likely violates the policy, subjecting the policyholder to cancellation of the policy. So... View More

You actually raise a couple different issues here. 1. Can Court documents available on PACER lawfully be disclosed on social media? Yes, because they're public records, and the fact that the discloser is a lawyer who is not on your case is irrelevant. 2. Can someone lawfully make fun of you... View More
