From the looks of it, you may need to consider getting law enforcement involved to effectively escort the people off of the land. Assuming that they have no legal interest in the property, then they are trespassing.
I am an Active duty soldier who is stationed at Fort Drum, NY. I was informed by family I have a notice to show up to court on Oct 18th for jury duty but I am in NY at the moment. Am I exempt, or is there a way I can be exempt?

You should be exempt from jury service; however, you will need to make sure that you contact the court and provide them with paperwork reflecting that you are on active duty.

You can waive your right to a preliminary hearing by informing the court that you are waiving it. That being said, you should only waive a preliminary hearing in very few circumstances, as you have every opportunity to see what all the prosecutor may have that led to the charges against you.

It depends on the type of burglary; however, it is not uncommon for there to be a change to something like trespassing or accessory after the fact.

Under the Mississippi statute, you are correct, in that MDOC should release you. You should probably consider getting with a criminal defense lawyer so that they can press the issue with MDOC and the judge to secure your release.

Yes. The County Board of Supervisors may follow the statute to mandate that the property be cleaned at the owner's expense, and if the property is not cleaned, then the County can go in and clean the property and bill the owner.
