A Pennsylvania attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. If you have proof of payment, such as banking records, present it to them. You could ask them to rectify the error. If this is not productive, you could consult with a local attorney to outline your options.... View More

You can still sue, you will have to go after the doctor's assets and not his insurance.

You may or may not have left out some relevant facts but I will try to answer----if the insurance company is paying a property damage claim for the vehicle then it should pay the titled owner(s) of the vehicle.

Q: I was given a traffic citation for not having my insurance in the car with even though the car was insured.

I was plead guilty at the court hearing today. My question is, do I have to pay the fines or file for an appeal? I don't know if it will show on my record. I have a driver's learner permit from Maryland but the incident happened here in Pennsylvania.

Q: Does my Uninsured/Underinsured Motororist coverage apply if a motorist hits me while I'm riding my bike? [Pennsylvania]

Hi,

I'm shopping around for Auto Insurance in PA; considering Progressive. I also like to ride bike. Hopefully, I'd never need it, but if a motorist injures me while I'm riding bike and they are at fault, would I be covered by Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage... View More

Short answer yes. Uninsured underinsured covers you if the driver running into you has no insurance or too little. If you have more than one car in your household get "stacking" --the best deal in car nsurance. It multiplies the coverage you had for UM/UIM by the number of cars, and... View More

I was in an automobile accident last year and I was deemed at fault. If the amount of damages to the other car exceeds your property damage coverage on your insurance policy, you will be responsible for the excess amount. For example, if your property damage limits were $10,000 and the repairs to the other vehicle were $12,000, your insurance will pay the $10,000... View More

There are couple different reasons this could happen. One is if you receive a citation for driving without insurance or with suspended registration. A conviction in either case could lead to a license suspension.

Or, insurance companies are required to notify PennDOT of a lapse in your...

Q: Do I have grounds for a lawsuit?

I went to a rehabilitation center to seek help for my alcoholism. I was there for 30 days. A Pennsylvania attorney could answer best, but your post remains open for two weeks. As a general matter, it does not appear to be a case that attorneys might consider taking on a contingency basis. If you are paying by the hour, the burden is upon you to provide evidence of the theft. In a busy... View More

Although you can handle this yourself in small claims court before a magistrate, you would be best advised to hire a lawyer. If it goes beyond a... View More

A public defender is only for criminal cases. It sounds like you should consult with a bankruptcy lawyer, who could advise you if personal bankruptcy is the route to go.
