Filing a Complaint will always stops the Statute of Limitations. An SOL determines the time in which you must file a complaint. Good luck.

You need to retain matrimonial counsel, who is licensed in both NJ and Fl. In the alternative, you need to just retain an experienced NJ matrimonial attorney, who will pursue this matter aggressively.

It is possible that could ultimately happen, but a creditor cannot "just place a lien on real estate". There is an entire legal process that must be completed first.
